The first thing I thought was that this project was the most interesting thing I have ever done with anything to do with art. Then I looked at the mirror, and thought, “Oh, I can just use that to see my computer.” But then, Mr. Nelson took them away, and I was dumbfounded. As I drew the first one, I tried to capture the large, semicircular hair shape of my partner. I then moved down, and drew his large ears. I moved to his eyebrows, and got his eyes. I basically followed this format for the next contour. When I had to do myself, I thought, “That was what the mirrors were for.” As I drew myself, I knew that I wasn’t going to do a very good job since my last two weren’t very good. Then I did my self portrait and noticed that I was making it too elongated. I tried to salvage what I could, but I didn’t get very much.
